About us
Who we are
We believe philanthropy has the potential to be radically rewired to work more meaningfully for both changemakers and wealth-holders. So, since 2019, we’ve worked with care and courage to explore – and experiment with – a very different form of philanthropic giving.
Put simply, we’re creating a new model that funds people rather than projects so our investments have as long-lasting an impact as possible.
By leaving outdated grant-giving in the past, we’re able to empower those who are creating ripples of social and environmental change to live and work more freely than society would otherwise allow.
We’re always honest about the fact there’s so much we don’t know. And we don’t pretend to have all the answers. But what we do have is the curiosity and conviction to make bold decisions, try new approaches and bring others along with us on our journey to reshape philanthropy thoughtfully from the inside out
We’ve been described as
-
We’re deep thinkers, but we know the importance of speaking out to drive change. We make sure that, when we have something to say, we say it in a way that will have as big an impact as possible – even when it feels uncomfortable.
-
We have a reasonable and optimistic voice, like a reassuring conversation with someone you know and trust. Our care and love for what we do – and our passion for working collaboratively – always shines through.
-
We’re serious, but not stuffy. We’re focused but open-minded. Our language makes it clear that we’re a safe but determined pair-of-hands doing meaningful work with honesty, integrity and independence.
-
We work in innovative ways and make courageous decisions. We’re always learning, listening and developing, and our tone of voice reflects this curiosity. We’re not afraid to surprise people and flip the narrative to capture imaginations and change minds.
